Laura Soto shares a home with her husband, two children, 4 cats, and 6 dogs. She understands the importance of having well-behaved pets that can live in harmony together.
In addition, she is still dedicated to helping shelter animals and works closely with several rescue groups in Brevard County.
Laura Soto has more than 15 years of training experience. She got her start learning how to train big cats while she was still in college, but ultimately settled into canine training. From 2010 to 2015, Laura was the head instructor at the Paws & Stripes® Program, teaching inmates how to transform unadoptable shelter dogs into Canine Good Citizens.
She also taught grooming skills, canine CPR/First Aid, and trick training. Retiring early from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Laura chose to follow her heart and open her own canine training company. Thus, Pawsitive Training Academy was born!
